On 16th August, my sister and I had a Virgin Experience Day at Windsor Castle and afternoon tea. This was our first time visiting Windsor. It has taken me a while to edit the photos as my Mental Health was up and down last week. Back to the day. We finally managed to find a car park (it wasn't excellent signage) and went to the queue. I had my voucher on my tablet, but they wanted a hard copy, which I didn't know about, technology wasn't playing, and my anxiety started to kick in. Eventually, we sent them an email with the voucher, and they printed it off for us.
As we got through the ticket office section, we had to queue to get our bags scanned and walk through a detector ourselves; it was like being in the airport. Everything was fine we started to explore and started to take some photos. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take photos inside Georges Chappel and the staterooms, only outside, but I totally recommend going in to see these places, as it's out of this world.
Here are some photos:
After exploring, we went to the Leaf at the Castle for Afternoon Tea, which was out of this world. Here are some photos I took on my phone.
When we finished indulging in our afternoon tea, we went and had a look around the town and looked at the quirky shops. It also gave me a chance to practice street photography.
It was a lovely finish to a lovely day; even though the start wasn't the best start of the day, I would definitely recommend going to see Windsor as I want to go back and do the walk around there.
