After discovering Starlings are on my doorstep. I went out this morning to capture them in flight, leaving the roof space going back and forth.
I haven't seen them for the rest of the day. I will try and keep a diary and see if I can get to understand their pattern. So excited.
Here are some photos from this morning

It was cloudy this morning. I was outside at 6.45; they weren't as active as yesterday. I noticed that they stuck quite close together, going along on the rooftops and flying to the trees and then returning to the houses and their little hideaway.
I haven't seen them for the rest of the day, but I hope to see if I catch them when they have come back from wherever they have been.
Photos from today:
I popped out to see if I could see them at 17:10, and they were flying in and out of their hole; they were so quick. My neighbor came out and saw them coming out of their roof; they looked so happy. I couldn't take photos for long as my tea was cooking.

I was out early this morning at 6.40, they were out bright and early, didn't see them for a while, and suddenly they flew in the hole, I tried to capture them flying in and out with twigs I wasn't always successful as they were speedy. I do get distracted occasionally and then miss them, so I need to focus more. I notice that they chirp really sharply and loudly.
When I left for an appointment at 10.07 this morning, one of the Starling just had their head popping out of the hole, but the time I came back, I couldn't see it.

My cat decided to join me on my Starling watch this morning (but I am sure he had different ideas).

I am so intrigued watching the Starlings. They fly backward and forth quite a lot, making sure their nest is ready. One fly to the trees and the other fetch. Sometimes the female stays in the hole of the roof, calling for her partner in crime. She was in a different hole. They fly on top of the roof and then walk along, pick up stuff, and be close together. I still struggle capturing them at times as they are so quick. I am picking up how they chirp, which is loud and sharp.
