Last Sunday (22nd August), I went to Woodchester Park as I needed to be out in nature, as my Counselling Session with my Therapist was heavy going, so I needed to be in the fresh air and out with my camera. At the moment, I am enjoying more taking the photos than editing photos at the moment, so please bear with me with my blog posts; I am aiming to get back into a routine with my editing and posts.
Back to the day. As I am a member of the national trust, I tried to make the most use of the membership and decided to try something new. This was my first time at Woodchester Park.
I arrived at the car park, got myself organised, and started walking down this big hill (some minibuses take you to the Manor House, I wish I caught this on the way back as walking back up the hill killed me so unfit).
The views and the wildlife were amazing walking down the track towards the Manor House.
I arrived at the Manor House and sat on the benches to have a breather. There are tours for the Manor House, but the National Trust does not own it, and you have to pay separately. I didn't do the tour as I wanted to be outside.
After my break, I had no idea where I was going, so I followed everyone else. I came across the Sheep; they were quite vocal that day.
Then continued along the path and came to the lake and beautiful Lake House.
I walked a bit further, unsure where the track was going; I turned around and headed back to the Manor to grab some lunch, encountering some cows on the way.
As I was sitting in the air was a Glider, which I took the opportunity off capturing the Glider.
As I finished my break and now got myself a map, I explored the track before the Manor, which ended up taking me into a loop and coming back on the track I did in the morning, but I will know for next time.
I spotted this lovely Butterfly.

As I found some stones to sit on, these lovely dogs came running towards me. Probably thinking I had food, lol 🤣🤣.
As I walked around the loop and got back by the Manor, the cattle had moved into the field near the house, so I couldn't resist taking a photo one more time before walking back up the big hill. It's a lovely place, and I would definitely go back again.
